I visited the North Street Church of Christ. The morning service started at 10:30. There was a reading from Isaiah 60:1-4. The sermon was a part of a series and the topic was being blessed for the sake of the world. The pastor, Dr Michael Harbour, said that we are blessed with breath, sight, the gift of choice, shelter, rest, touch, friends, gift of enjoying music, and wonder among other things. He defined reverence as awe, respect, and shame. The Bible verses he used included Philippians 2:5-8, Romans 5:8, Matthew 12:36-37, 1 Peter 4:11, and Isaiah 60:1-4. The church took communion and the communion meditation included the following Bible verses: Matthew 26:26-27, Luke 22:17-19, and 1 Corinthians 11:23-29. I have been a part of the Yellow House for some years now and this church is the primary church that is associated with the Yellow House. I really enjoy visiting this church and will be back again.
